THE Zimbabwe bowling team is expected back in the country this evening after a fine performance in the Africa States Bowls tournament which ended on Saturday in Botswana where they grabbed an overall silver medal. Both the men and women’s teams walked tall at the Jwaneng greens when they won two overall silver medals.

Zimbabwe’s performance this year was more exciting and their hard work in the greens paid dividends as they walked away with a number of medals.

At last year’s Africa States, Zimbabwe won a bronze medal and in the men’s section all three of their medals were bronze but this time the side got silvers, which is a huge improvement.

The Zimbabwe men’s Fours team won a gold while their Singles representative Terry Bowes also followed suit with some fine shots when he clinched a silver medal.
