CUBA’S Acting Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Yoisy Ford García, said the strong relationship between the two countries have strengthened the education sector.
Speaking at an event marking 43 years of diplomatic ties between Zimbabwe and Cuba at Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE), García said about 3 000 Zimbabwean education professionals have graduated from Cuba.
Cuba assists BUSE.
García said the collaboration would result in an increase in the number of Zimbabwean education professionals who would be trained in Cuba.
“I remember that we came to this university a year ago to commemorate 42 years of the historic diplomatic relations between Cuba and Zimbabwe. We are back again to commemorate 43 years.
“Please allow me to express our satisfaction with the relationship which has seen the strengthening of our collaboration in the education sector,” said García.
