Zim Davis Cup team beat Ghana

ZIMBABWE Davis Cup team posted their second victory at the Africa Group III tournament on Thursday, beating Ghana 2-1 at the National Tennis Centre in Abuja, Nigeria.
The win saw them moving up the table to second place behind leaders Namibia in the six-team group.
Zimbabwe came back from behind after Ghana took a 1-0 lead in the first singles match when Isaac Nortey beat Lyle Zaloumis in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.
However, Benjamin Lock levelled the tie after beating Abraham Asaba 6-1, 6-4.
He then joined hands with his younger brother Courtney Lock for the doubles, and they overpowered Abraham Asaba and Nortey 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Zimbabwe plays Namibia today. The Namibians are yet to lose after winning their three ties against Ghana, Nigeria and Benin.
The event is being played in a round-robin format. The top three teams will be promoted while the bottom two teams will be relegated.
