A three-day multi-stakeholder conference to discuss the country’s debt situation has begun in Harare this morning.
The conference has been convened by the Africa Forum on Debt and Development, the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development and has drawn participants from Government, parliamentarians, civil society and captains of industry.
The conference is running under the theme, “Strengthening debt governance in Zimbabwe in light of Covid19.”
Zimbabwe has debt of over US$10,5 billion which analysts have said constrains Government’s ability to fund development projects.
