It said about 500 buyers from the region were expected to attend the event, which would the first Mauritius international trade expo. The trade promotion board said the expo was an ideal exchange platform between Mauritian providers of goods and services and buyers from the region, India, Europe and the USA.
“About 150 to 170 local Mauritian companies are expected to exhibit their expertise, representing a wide range of sectors that include textile and garments, agro-industry, IT, chemicals, footwear, light engineering, printing, jewellery as well as a wide range of service providers,” it said.

Enterprise Mauritius officials visited Zimbabwe last year with a business delegation of over 30 companies and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce to promote trade between the two countries.
Mauritius has become one of the emerging economies globally, exporting over 3 000 product lines to 150 countries. — New Ziana.
