TGMK consultants director Mr Manyika Kangai said his organisation is organising a delegation to go to the Canton Fair for each phase and are offering a package for those that are interested to be part of the Zimbabwean delegation.
“The Canton Fair is China’s biggest import and export fair held twice a year in Guangzhou and offers anyone interested in buying products from China a direct link to the manufacturers,” he said.
Mr Kangai added that there are three phases with each phase exhibiting manufacturers of different products.
Phase one of the fair will run from October 15 to October 19.
Under phase one manufacturers of products such as electronics and household electrical appliances, lighting equipment, vehicles and spare parts, machinery, hardware and tools, building materials, chemical products, international pavilion will be exhibiting. Manufacturers of consumer goods, gifts and home decorations will exhibit under phase two from October 23 to October 27.
Phase three of the fair will run from October 31 to November 4 and exhibitors will include manufacturers of textiles and garments, shoes, food, office supplies, medical and health products.
“We are targeting a minimum of 30 delegates, both local traders and manufacturers,” said Mr Kangai.
