The Sunshine Tour calendar was inactive for the better part of this month and the local tournament is likely to draw several foreign players with the fat purse on offer.

The annual FSG Lowveld Pro-am will become the second biggest tournament after it was sponsored to the tune of US $42 500.00 (R350 000) on the local Zambezi Tour.
The tournament is set for Triangle and Hippo Valley courses next week.
In a circular the Zambezi Tour marketing manager Tendayi Gwatiringa said the format will be 72 holes Championship over 4 days.
“The tournament will start from Thursday 23rd August to Sunday 26th August 2012
“The field will be cut to 32 players and ties after the first two rounds.
“Round one and two will be played at both Hippo Valley and Triangle courses.
“The final two rounds after the cut will be played at Triangle Golf Club Only
“Entries close today at 1600hrs and they are being lodged with the Tournament Secretary, Amanda Khupe,” Gwatiringa said.
Ignatius Mketekete is the defending champion after he beat Robson Saurombe in last year’s playoff.
