BOTSWANA’S most sought-after artist, Zolasko Vatsay, has expressed his admiration for Zimbabwe.
He says this is his second home.
Zolasko has hinted on a collaboration with a Zimbabwean artist.
The musician, who is set to release his album titled Success, posted on his social media platform that Zimbabwe was now his second home.
“I’m no longer doing it for Botswana only, I also have another home which is Zimbabwe.
“The song I am about to release, it’s out of this world,” reads the post.
In an interview with H-Metro, Zolasko said he fell in love with Zimbabwe owing to the hospitality, and love he received locally.
“Zimbabwe has unique people. I remember the days I visited doing my projects there, the people were so welcoming.
“They love engaging with people and they do not hate people because of where they come from.
“And, it is also amazing how they support their local artists.
“I remember the collabo I did with Mambo Dhuterere, I loved the support,” said Zolasko.
He would not divulge more information about the next project, with a Zimbabwean flavour.
“The next song I want to make is a surprise before releasing my album Success.
“Zimbabwe is now close to my heart, that’s why I am a Tswana who speaks fluent Shona.
“I will forever work with Zimbabwean artists and strengthen the relationship,” he told H-Metro.
Zolasko has a successful collaboration with Mambo Dhuterere titled Hamen Hlebana.
It broke records on views in Botswana.
He also collaborated with Baba Harare and other upcoming artists in Zimbabwe.
