QUEEN of ramp, Jemima Mandemwa, was crowned first runner-up at Miss Planet International 2023 recently held in Cambodia

This is Jemima’s third international crown.

In an interview with H-Metro, Jemima said:

“It’s been a journey filled with ups and downs, it took quite a lot of courage and hard work to be able to make it.

“After having travelled to Uganda last year I was quite sad about the show being cancelled, but I was happy when it was announced that it will be held in Cambodia in 2023.

“Cambodia was incredible, it’s a beautiful experience, I hope other models in Zimbabwe will have the same experience.

“I feel uplifted, my achievement sheds more light to upcoming models, that it’s possible to make it on the international platform, proudly representing our beloved country of Zimbabwe.”

Jemima said she intends to thrive on environmental sustainability through her clothing line Sanguine Femi and environmental movement Let’s Talk Green Zimbabwe.

“I want to continue with the work of promoting inclusive education towards environmental sustainability in Zimbabwe and globally.

“I intend to capitalise on my win through my involvement in the tourism sector, I strongly feel it will not only enable me to share messages about the tourism of Zimbabwe but I also hope to work with prominent brands, as well, as a commercial model and brand influencer,” she added.
