Herald Reporter

A Zimbabwean nurse working in the United Kingdom, Gladys Nyemba, has died of Covid-19.

Nyemba was based in Nottingham.

Her friends suspect that she contracted Covid-19 in her line of duty.

The UK is one of the hardest hit European countries, with over 12 800 people having been killed by Covid-19 as of yesterday.

Reports have suggested that other Zimbabwean nurses working for the National Health Service have died from the disease, but there were no confirmed figures.
