THE country is making rapid progress in adopting the harmonised road signs which will be uniform with the rest of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) region by 2025, the Zimbabwe Traffic Safety Council (ZTSC) has said.
The newly gazetted signs and signals are already being adopted in some cities.
ZTSC acting director operations, research and marketing Mr Ernest Muchena said as a way of curbing road carnage caused by misinterpretation of traffic signs and signals, the regional bloc had introduced uniform signage.
He also called on local authorities to erect new road signs and signals in line with Statutory 41 0f 2016 and the SADC design manual.
