Zim pick teams for regional darts championships

THE National Darts Association of Zimbabwe have named their teams for the upcoming 2024 Region 5 Championships in Eswatini (Swaziland) in August. 

The team was selected on Africa Day at Gwanda Community Hall with Kudzanai Nyemba and South Africa-based Faith Dube headlining the men’s and women’s senior teams.

Mashonaland Central players dominate the women senior’s team, with three players making the cut, while the men’s team is balanced, with all the provinces well represented. 

The darts association also announced teams for the junior boys and girls, and the veteran men’s and women’s teams which cater for those above 50 years of age.

Zimbabwe Darts 2024 Team

Senior Men Team: Kudzanai Nyemba (Mash West), Tawanda Hodzi (Mash West), Ndabezinhle Ngwenya (Bulawayo), Shungunuko Chigwende (Midlands), Tarisai Basvi (Manicaland), David Nyemba (RSA), Wonder Machapa (Harare Reserve) Mgcini Nkala (Bulawayo Non travelling reserve).

Senior Women Team: Faith Dube (RSA), Ruth Banda (Mash West), Linister N. Mhindirira (Mash Central), Mercy Meki (Mash Central), Hlonipani Ndlovu (Mat South Reserve), Jenipher Njini (Mash Central (Non travelling reserve) 

Junior Women Team (Under-25): Eunice Moyo (Bulawayo), Oasis Sibanda (Mat South)

Veteran’s Women Team (Above-50): Tabeth Zhoya (Midlands), Sibabone Mamwiri (Midlands).

Junior Men Team (Under-25): Prince Tazviviringa Midlands), Stendy Chingono (Harare).

Veteran’s Men Team (Above-50): Peter Mulukula (Mash East), Ellison T. Chikerema (Harare)
