ZIMBABWEAN rugby players Manasah Sita, Tafadzwa Chitokwindo, Antipas Kamwindo and Morgan Vangue will today feature for their Germany club TV Pforzheim in the final of the Rugby-Bundesliga against Heidelberger RK in Heidelberg. Backline players Chitokwindo, Sita, Vangue and lock forward all played for TV Pforzheim in their 41-14 semi-final triumph over Neuenheim last Sunday. Heidelberger defeated RG Heidelberg 55-5 in the other semi-final clash a day before. Last season Heidelberger RK beat TV Pforzheim in the playoff final to win their fifth championship in a row.

Zimbabwe Cheetahs star Chitokwindo contributed one try from the wing for TV Pforzheim in the semis. He has been at the club for most parts of the season with Kamwindo and Vangue with indications that Chitokwindo will get a contract for next season. Sita, a former Zimbabwe Sables and Cheetahs player has been at TV Pforzheim since 2012. Chitokwindo has been in the Westen European country since November last year. He has played a lot of matches for his club at either wing or fullback.

The 24-year old outside back said that he is still negotiating terms with TV Pforzheim with chances that he is putting pen to paper before the start of next season.

“They are happy with me, they want me back next season. I have played wing/fullback, will sign when I come back next season, I’m still negotiation terms. I’ve lost count now of the games I have played,’’ said Chitokwindo.

Nicknamed “Rubber” in rugby circles the speedster was in terrific form when the Cheetahs came close to attaining World Rugby Sevens World Series full membership where they lost 22-19 in the final to Russia in Hong Kong two months ago.
