Zim relay team off to China

The Zimbabwe 4x400m relay team has left for Guangzhou, China ahead of the World Athletics Relays set for the weekend.

The team, which comprises Dennis Hove, Gerren Muwishi, Leeford Zuze and Aldren Tafa, was sent off by the Sports and Recreation Commission at a ceremony held in Harare yesterday.

They qualified for the prestigious event at the Lefika International Relays held in Francistown, Botswana on March 29.

SRC director general Elta Nengomasha and National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe president Tendai Tagara implored the athletes to aim higher while they also promised a good outing.
