Zim team loses

Both teams coming from victories in their opening matches with Zimbabwe dismissing hosts 3-2 and Zambia thumping Namibia 3-0, treated the crowd to some exciting and riveting volleyball in an arguably the best match of the qualifiers so far.

It had to go to the deciding set as both teams showed resilience and fighting spirit throughout the match which was graced by Zimbabwe’s ambassador to Malawi, Thandiwe Dumbutshena.

She provided her compatriots with refreshments.
Zimbabwe drew first blood powering to a first win, but the game, which was close from the first technical timeout 8-7 in favour of Zimbabwe, took a twist with Zambia coming from behind to take a two set to one lead.
