THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD Zimbabwean rapper, Tawana McGrath, convinced a panel of four judges in a sterling performance at The Voice Kids UK talent search programme.

The show, which was aired on Boxing Day, saw Tawana McGrath from Birmingham making the finals.

“I am 13 and from Birmingham. I want to buy my mother a house.

“My dreams are to perform to as many people so I can share my gift,” he said.

One of the judges, Pixie Lott, hailed Tawana for his voice.

“That was amazing, what a voice,” she said.

Similar sentiments were echoed by fellow adjudicator Danny Jones, who added:

“You are amazing, I would love you to be on top. I started the industry at 16 years of age and I knew what it takes to be famous.

“You have the talent and ability; you have what it takes and you are so special. I saw the power of your voice. If you come to my team, I will give you some tips.”

Tawana was born to a Zimbabwean mother in Walsall.
