ENTREPRENEUR and clergyman, Edd Branson, has been honoured in Gambia and asked by the Kanifing Municipal Council to promote tourism and trade.

Branson is expected to start promoting and marketing Kanifing as an investment and tourist destination soon.

Kemo Bojang, chairman of the Youth and Tourism Committee in the Kanifing Municipality, said:

“The relationship between Edd Branson and Kanifing Municipal Council has already started bearing fruit with a Gambia-Zimbabwe Chamber of Commerce and a Gambia-Zimbabwe Friendship Association being established.

“This will serve as a bridge between the people of The Gambia and Zimbabwe in making trade, commerce and tourism easier and more accessible between the two nations.

“Branson is an effective investment advisor and we are confident in his skills and we trust that The Gambia will never be the same again.”

Branson has built a reputation as an investment advisor, deal broker and financial engineering consultant across the globe.

Kanifing Municipality is the largest local authority in The Gambia.

The council covers the areas of Serrekunda, Kotu, Kololi, Bijilo, Fajara and Bakau, but excludes Banjul.

It is in charge of most of the Kombo Saint Mary District for annual property rates collection, business registrations and fees, physical planning decisions, street cleaning and rubbish disposal.
