The event offers a pristine platform for stakeholders in the security sector to spread their wings into the territory and form synergies with existing partners in the country and broaden their portfolio in Zimbabwe. The event will also set the benchmark for regional integration in the Zimbabwean market, partners are availed the opportunity to either market current services and launch new innovations encompassing both commercial and home usage, directly to the sector.
SecurExpo 2012 will take place from March 14-17 2012, with the leadership symposium being held on March 14 at the Harare International Conference Centre.
The ground-breaking leadership symposium running under the theme “Appropriate knowledge supporting informed decisions” will focus on innovations, trends, skills and services in both sectors. The symposium will draw from the wealth of presenter expertise, case studies and years of dedicated service from professionals in the sector.
The exhibition aims to set the foundation for the presentational display of appropriate sector equipment, technology and services to the attending buyers that would guide the making of informed calculated decisions.
Event director Mr Conrad Chibanda, says “SecurExpo 2012 will be Zimbabwe’s ultimate security and safety shopping event for the best home, physical, vehicle, corporate security and safety systems on the market.
Incorporated in the event will be main stream support services like the insurance sector, which play a pivotal role in risk management principals, strategies and assessments.
With the view of the dramatic global technological and information advancements, the holding of the event is to keep abreast with the new and innovative safety and security concepts available to make our days and nights safe and secure”.
SecurExpo carries two perfect end user targets – home and corporate – which will attract visitors from all sectors of the economy since aspects of security and safety affect all people without social, economic, racial and religious discrimination.
Highlights for the SecurExpo 2012 event will be the business matching, icebreaker networking luncheon, awards night and the launch of an education programme called “Opportunity Based Learning” offering financing to fourth- year university students to develop security and safety systems for the market.
The programme will be run through local universities.
The information security section is a unique forum to focus on streamlined products and services for audience to visit covering antivirus software, Internet security, antispam filters, data access protection, software protection, biometric identification systems.
In the interest of maximising and appreciating exhibitors’ concepts practically, a new concept to exhibitions in Zimbabwe has been introduced being a demonstration area, as some products and services require more than a standard booth to fully appreciate the practical usage of the equipment or product. The event aims to soon be the hub for the region with specific target buyers from Zambia, Namibia, Malawi and Mozambique expected to attend. It is without doubt that Zimbabwe will benefit immensely from the windfall of holding such a ground-breaking event starting from increased investment into the private sector, increased attending business buyers, increased synergies and regional exposure.
The Leadership Conference will also be held on March 14 2012.
