Zim to host premier security expo

Empowerment Minister Saviour Kasukuwere will be the guest of honour.
The conference and expo, being organised by SECURITEX 2012, will showcase the latest advances in security technology, fire and safety and integration services and systems from all leading security industry manufacturers from the country and globally.
According to the organisers, SECURITEX 2012 Conference and Expo will bring all local and international risk management and safety and security services, products and technologies developers, vendors, financiers, suppliers, technocrats, engineers.
Chairman of the SECURITEX 2012 organising committee Mr Ethan Mathibela said the event is expected to map out how all sectors of the economy can benefit from the implementation of comprehensive risk management and response options. Mr Mathibela is well known in the field of risk management, with experience spanning over 40 years.
“SECURITEX 2012 will provide an introduction to some of the crucial concerns facing the security risk management, as well as an opportunity to discuss best practices and future developments, trends, concerns, ideas, technologies and challenges in Zimbabwe, continentally and globally,” he said.
Some of the expected participants at SECURITEX 2012 include security managers, architects, engineers, technocrats, trade missions, NGOs, ICT experts, environmentalists, researchers and academics, consultants, contractors, cement manufacturers, construction material suppliers and construction industry heads.
Others are financial institutions, captains of industry, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, transporters, trading and marketing companies, automation, power generation and distributors, and government officials.
He added that the event would also showcase the widest spectrum of exhibitors and visitors. Besides local speakers others are expected from Israel and South Africa
“Exhibitors will demonstrate and display the widest variety of products from cyber security, cloud computing technologies, biometrics to perimeter security, company security, transport security and digital surveillance among many topic security issues developments and trends globally in general and in Zimbabwe,” said Mr Mathibela.
