Zimbabwe will be the heartbeat of African junior football next month when Harare stages the TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA Qualifier from September 11–20.
The 12-team tournament will see the hosts in Group A with Mozambique, Comoros, and Eswatini. Group B pits Zambia against South Africa, Madagascar, and Malawi, while Group C features last year’s runners-up Angola, Botswana, Mauritius, and Lesotho.
The finals will double as a gateway to the newly expanded 48-team FIFA U-17 World Cup, where Africa will have 10 coveted spots up for grabs.
