Zimbabwe are in Group C together with India and West Indies.
The hosts Australia will be out to retain the title after winning the previous edition in New Zealand.
Yesterday, Zimbabwe Cricket national development manager, Nick Singo, said he was confident the team will do well.
“We will play the warm-up matches and will start with Namibia on the 7th and the following day we play England, then we fly to Townsville for group stages.
“Our first game is against New Papa Guinea on the 11th and on the 14th we will play India and our last game in the group stages would be against West Indies.
“Our chances are bright. We have a strong side and we are confident that the boys will do well.
“I expect Kevin Kusaza, who has played first class cricket, to deliver as well as Malcolm, Luke, captain Mathew Bentley and Kyle Bowie.
I expect tough competition to come from India but one thing is we are well prepared,” said Singo.
The cricket team early this week received a kit sponsorship package from a transport company – Sabot.
