Zim U19 leave for ICC World Cup

THE Zimbabwe Under-19 cricket team arrived in India yesterday to prepare for the 2016 International Cricket Council (ICC) Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be in Bangladesh from January 27 to February 14, 2016. The travelling party consists of 15 players and six officials, and the youngsters are set to play four youth one-day internationals against their Afghanistan counterparts starting on Sunday at the Greater Noida Cricket Stadium outside New Delhi.

The other games will be played on December 15, 18 and 20.

Sixteen teams will compete in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Apart from the 10 Test-playing nations, six Associate and Affiliate Member sides; Afghanistan, Canada, Fiji, Namibia, Nepal and Scotland will also take part after winning their various regional qualifying events.

Zimbabwe were pooled in Group C with England, Fiji and the West Indies. Squad
