VICTORIA Falls-based Ithwasa Lodumo, a self-proclaimed prophet-cum traditional healer has organised two shows for Hwange and Victoria Falls to feature local and Bulawayo artists.

The shows are meant to celebrate Ithwasa Lodumo, birth name Musawenkosi Vundla’s birthday.

Ndebele dancehall chanter Hansel Ndlovu, better known as Ma9Nine, Mzoe7 and South Africa-based musician, Jaycee Rapaddict (real name Sindiso Moyo) of the song titled “Ungayithi Vuu” are some of the artists to feature at the show.

The shows are set for 3 August at Hwange KoThwasa Lodumo Ngumija Beerhall where the entry fee is US$5.

At this show, it will be Moe7, Ma9nine, Jaycee Hitmaker Ungayithi Vuu and local artists.

The following day the show moves to Sizinda outside Victoria Falls at Sizinda Eyadini Lesangoma Bar, and the entry fee will be US$3.

The 4 August show will feature Moe7, Ma9nine, Mafia King, Umgwaza Impofenhle, Jaycee Hitmaker Ungayithi Vuu and other local Victoria Falls artists.

Vundla, who operates both outlets where the shows will be held, said the aim is to expose the artists to fans.

“What motivated me to organise this is to make sure our music penetrates the market. Most of our singers are budding and need this exposure where they can meet with fans. We want to give them a platform to be known not only in Victoria Falls and Hwange but nationally.

“So I am inviting all music lovers to be in Hwange and Victoria Falls. Some have not played in Victoria Falls and this is their opportunity,” he said.
