A MASSIVE Tashinga Musekiwa six sealed off a five wickets win for Zimbabwe over Namibia in the second T20I played at Queens Sports Club on Tuesday.
Musekiwa cleared the boundary with the first ball of the 19th over with the Chevrons needing six runs off the final two overs.
The victory means that Zimbabwe has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three match series going into the final game on Thursday.
Zimbabwe, who won the toss and elected to field first restricted Namibia to 169/6 and they chased down the target in 18.1 overs, finishing on 170/5.
Richard Ngarava and Bradley Evans picked up two wickets each for the hosts while Nicol Loftie-Eaton top scored for Namibia with 47 runs off 30 balls. Malan Kruger chipped in with 45 runs from 44 balls.
Ngarava and Evans were supported by Tinotenda Maposa and and Sikandar Raza who picked up one wicket each.
Tadiwanashe Marumani, who was part of two half century partnerships top scored for Zimbabwe in their chase with 50 runs off 36 balls while Brian Bennett, named player of the match, chipped in with 40 runs off 20 deliveries.
Brendan Taylor scored 29 runs off 26 balls while Ryan Burl remained unbeaten on 24 runs from 13 deliveries.
JJ Smit picked up two wickets for Namibia.
The final match of the series is scheduled for Thursday, starting at 13.30pm.
