Zimbabwe Embassy urges nationals in UAE to remain calm amid current developments

The Embassy of Zimbabwe in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has advised Zimbabwean nationals residing in the Gulf state to remain calm and exercise caution in light of the current situation in the country.

The Embassy, on Monday released an Advisory note where they urged citizens to minimise non-essential movements while closely following official guidance issued by UAE authorities.

“In the wake of the current situation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe advises Zimbabwean nationals residing in the UAE to remain calm, exercise caution and minimize non-essential movements,” reads part of the statement.

The Embassy further encouraged Zimbabweans to adhere strictly to safety guidelines and advisories issued by the Government of the United Arab Emirates.

“The Embassy advises all Zimbabwean nationals to continue following official safety guidelines and advisories being issued from time to time by authorities of the Government of the United Arab Emirates,” the statement said.

Zimbabweans requiring urgent consular assistance due to the current developments have been advised to contact the Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate in Dubai.

The Embassy said it is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as necessary.
