Zimbabwe has surpassed its gold production targets for 2025, with deliveries to Fidelity Gold Refinery (FGR) reaching 46,7 tonnes.

The record-breaking performance was driven by a surge in small-scale mining activity, which accounted for 75 percent of the total gold output.

As at December 31, 2025, the country surpassed the Government’s 40-tonne target, ending the year with a powerful “December rush” of nearly five tonnes.

Throughout the year, the artisanal and small-scale miners outperformed large scale mines by a wide margin after delivering 34,9 tonnes.

Large-scale mines delivered 11,8 tonnes.
