Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Lyshanda Moyas, is returning home this evening, with a grand reception set to honour her outstanding performance at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand.

Moyas is scheduled to land at the Robert Mugabe International Airport at 1700hrs.

She will be accompanied by a delegation from the Miss Universe Zimbabwe Organisation, including senior officials and the board chairperson, Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi Chiwenga.

Colonel Baloyi Chiwenga proudly served as one of this year’s Miss Universe judges and is expected to address Moyas’ fans upon arrival, acknowledging Moyas’ remarkable journey and reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to grooming world-class talent.

Moyas return marks the end of an exhilarating international journey in which Zimbabwe stood tall and earned admiration on the global stage.

Airport authorities, event coordinators and security teams have been working around the clock to prepare for the homecoming, which is expected to draw one of the largest welcome gatherings seen in recent years.

Some of Zimbabwe’s most respected modelling gurus, fashion industry veterans, brand directors, pageant mentors and cultural arts ambassadors are expected to grace the occasion.

For stakeholders in the sector, Moyas’ return is not just a celebration of her personal triumph, but a defining moment for the rebirth of Zimbabwean pageantry.

Moyas captured the hearts of many Zimbabweans not only through her elegant performance in Thailand, but through the confidence, discipline and resilience she displayed throughout the competition.
