BULAWAYO gospel artiste Siphethangani Sibanda popularly known as Pastor Barak stole the limelight when he performed his latest album titled Yimi Lo at the South African Rapha gospel television last month.

Sunday Life caught up with the gospel sensational singer who revealed that his performance on Rapha TV was a milestone towards his dream of becoming a global artiste.

“It was a great experience appearing on such a big platform. Yes, my music is playing on air and I have been to interviews on radio stations and on Zimbabwe television (Ztv) but the experience at Rapha made me see that I am moving globally. Meeting different people gave me enough experience to know what the world is expecting from me as a gospel artiste,” he explained.

He applauded Rapha chief executive officer Joe Harauna for giving him an opportunity to perform on the channel.
Barak acclaimed Zimbabweans for the unity and for the wonderful support they provided.

“I am so much moved by the unity of Zimbabweans even when they are in foreign lands. I saw a lot of Zimbabweans coming to support me from all over places in South Africa.

It was a new and overwhelming experience meeting people from different countries including the guest Prophet Prince from America. I felt so humbled as people enjoyed and showed appreciation of my work at a foreign land,” he said.

He added that he was pleased to have managed to market  his new album which was launched in December last year.

“The album copies were sold at R100 each  and they were highly bought at a foreign land  which convinced me that God is faithful and I will always thank God because it is all because of Him.”

Barak who is also known as “Speta” is a man of God in a prophetic and deliverance ministry called Full Gospel International ministries where he began his musical career as a praise and worship leader.

The gospel star, was recently appointed chairperson of Matabeleland Gospel Music Association registered with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, he has become a darling in Bulawayo, as he is known for giving less privileged food and blankets.
