attracted competitors from South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Angola, Zimbabwe and the hosts, is scheduled for December 5-11.
The participants will showcase their talent when they compete in rhythmic, artistic, trampoline and tumbling categories.
Zimbabwe Gymnastics Association vice-president Chris Muchatuta yesterday said they were hoping for a good show.
“It is our hope that Zimbabwe will do well at the competition as they will be competing against strong athletes from others countries.
“Last year Zimbabwe did very well in many categories, and I am sure they will do even better this year,” said Muchatuta.
Zimbabwe hosted the Zone Six championships, where the men’s artistic champion Kudzaishe Nyazvigo made a good name for himself as he scooped 10 different medals – four of them gold.
Nyazvigo is confident that he will so well, together with other Zimbabwe’s competitors.
“I will definitely do well and collect many medals for myself and country.
“We are training hard for the competition and I am sure by December we will be more than ready to do all the routines required for each category,” said Nyazvigo.
