Alex dominated in both individual and team events as they beat the runnersup by more than 100 points. North Park Primary, which will host the second gala this Friday, came second after accumulating 315 points. The schools’ gala had 40 individual events and 21 team events featuring different age groups. Highlands Primary were third on 309 points while Borrowdale were fourth on 253 points. Admiral Tait completed the top five.
Pool Filter Centre, who came on board to support the swimming gala, said it was a worthy investment.
“We are happy with these kind of games which we would like to see grow. There is need to promote swimming, especially from a young age.
“As PFC we will keep on working with the schools,” said company representative, Audrey Mare.
