Zimbabwe team set to shine at African School Games

ZIMBABWE will participate in the African Schools Games to be hosted by Algeria from July 26 to August 5.

The country will be represented in equestrian sport by Faith Downey, Jayne Rossiter, Jane Gifford and Terry Angelos.

The quartet will participate in dressage which is more like ballet dancing on horseback and showjumping.

They will be coached by Teede Anabelle.

The other sport in which Zimbabwe will be represented is beach rowing.

Paidamoyo Chamunorwa and Jason Moulder have been drafted into the team to be coached by Ka Tommee.

Newman Gomendo is the chef de mission.

In a press release on Monday, the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee said: “We are confident that our team will represent Zimbabwe with honor, making the nation proud, contributing significantly to the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie that defines African Schools.”
