Zimbabwe to participate at the World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly in India 2024

Zimbabwe is set to participate at the World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly (WTSA) 2024 slated for October 15 to 24, 2024 in India.

Information Communication Technologies, Postal and Courier Services Minister Dr Tatenda Mavetera will be heading a high-level delegation to the assembly.

Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Bramha Kumar met with Minister Mavetera on Friday and discussed ongoing bilateral cooperation in the ICT sector.

Minister Mavetera emphasised the need to deepen existing bilateral relations, particularly in capacity building in the ICT sector.

India is hosting the World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly (WTSA) 2024.

The event will be held from October 15 to 24, 2024 preceded by the Global Standards Symposium (GSS) on October 14, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

It will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi on October 15, 2024, and will be attended by high-level dignitaries from more than 190 countries.
