This one was there for the taking. But the Warriors weren’t clinical.

In the end they settled for a share of the spoils as they drew 1-1 against Angola in their second Group B tie at the Africa Cup of Nations on Boxing Day.

The Warriors needed to win this one to at firmly position themselves for the Round of 16 qualification ahead of their last group tie against South Africa next Monday especially after losing the opener to Egypt.

But they could only settle for a draw in a match they had to recover through Knowledge Musona’s goal at the stroke of the break having suffered a setback when conceding earlier on.

Today’s draw means Zimbabwe now should win against South Africa to qualify for the next round.

It’s a match the Warriors will look back and lament a lot of missed opportunities they should have utilised and clipped the points.
