Zimbabwean national ‘missing’ in Mozambique

A Zimbabwean national is believed to be missing in Mozambique, where there has been a spat of violence perpetrated by terrorists n the country`s Cabo Delgado province.

In a statement, Acting Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Lovemore Mazemo said investigations to locate the person are in motion.

“Following the disturbances in Palma, Mozambique, the Embassy of Zimbabwe in Maputo is in communication with the Government of Mozambique and companies in Palma.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade hereby confirms from the contacts so far established with the authorities in Palma, one Zimbabwe is yet to be accounted for. Efforts to establish his whereabouts are ongoing,” Ambassador Mazemo said.
