Zimbabwean ranked SA’s most powerful CEO

 

The pan African mobile network operator has a presence in more than 21 countries, including 17 in Africa.
The MTN Group boasts a market capitalisation of about US$31 billion.

MTN Group has a total subscriber base of more than 182,7 million subscribers across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
It has a presence in 17 African countries comprising Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Republic, Liberia, Nigeria, Republic of Congo (Congo Brazzaville), Rwanda, host nation South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda and Zambia.

Outside Africa, MTN Group boasts of operations in Afghanistan, Cyprus, Iran, Syria and Yemen.
Meanwhile, other highly-ranked officials in the sector include newly-appointed Telkom South Africa chairman, Jabu Mabuza, who is fourth.
Telkom Group CEO Nombulelo Moholi is fifth.
