Zimbabwean teenager off to Dubai

A YOUNG Zimbabwean footballer, Macdonald Motsi, is looking to make steps towards professional football after joining Gulf United of United Arab Emirates.

The 19-year old left the country this week to join UAE’s leading academy for development and pathways for young players aged between eight and 23 years.

They are also the biggest scholarship provider in the Middle East, who facilitate movements for talented young players to the United States and Canada.

“At Gulf United we are passionate about the success of our players, not only on the football field, but in life.

“We provide high-quality coaching and provide pathways to pro teams and Universities in the USA to create opportunities for young people,” said the club on their information brochure.
