ZIMBABWE athletes will be in action at the University of Ghana Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Ngoni Makusha, Methembe Tshuma and Tapiwanashe Makarawu made it in the men’s 100m sprint event. Makarawu and Tshuma won their respective heats with Makusha a runner-up in his.
However, the official team lists with confirmed starting line ups have not been released.
A day after the event some athletes don’t know if they qualified or not.

Zimbabwean sprinter Makarawu does not even appear in the heat where he came first.
In the 400m Anesu Nyahuma did not make it on Tuesday through to the semi-finals with the guys firing shots with superb heats.
Leeford Zuze with a season’s best of 44.91 seconds and 44.71 hero Thandazani Ndlovu, were heat winners with Dennis Hove second in his leaving the medal chase in safe hands in the 400m.
Hove’s 45.00 seconds, his best ever is among the reasons why the Zimbabwe 4x400m relay team is topical here.
Hurdler Ashley Miller also sailed through to the semi-finals.

Coach Phakamile Lisimati has refused to be carried away by the results, playing a wait and see attitude.
“We will have an early lunch and proceed to the venue, confirm starting lists and take it from there,” said Lisimati.
Because of the heat and humidity, the athletes chose to stay in their rooms where there is air conditioning on Wednesday morning.
