ZIMBABWE Newspapers (1980) Limited group chief executive officer Mr Pikirayi Deketeke was honoured with the Leadership Legacy Award (Super Platinum Winner) at the Zimbabwe Top-Ranked Companies Awards organised by the Zimbabwe CEO’s Network in Harare on Thursday.
The prestigious accolade was in recognition of his ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and address customer needs with speed and efficiency.
The Sunday Mail also walked away with the Ranked Company Award (Gold Winner) at the ceremony, in recognition of the publication’s excellent work.
The awards were held to honour individuals and corporates that exhibited excellence in both service and leadership.
Receiving the awards on behalf of Mr Deketeke and the publication, The Sunday Mail’s Features and Arts editor Prince Mushawevato said: “It is an honour to receive such prestigious awards on behalf of the company and we are grateful to all stakeholders who continuously support us.
“We promise to continue entertaining, educating and informing the nation.”
Addressing guests during the ceremony, Zimbabwe CEO’s Network executive director Dr Tapiwa Matsika said intelligent company executives embrace new ideas, technologies and approaches.
