Zimpapers Junior Club goes a gear up

H-Metro Reporter

ZIMPAPERS Junior Media Club has gone a gear up in its initiative to groom a media-literate young generation as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The club has hosted six schools in the past few weeks.

Members of media clubs from Mother Touch, Bradford Private, Destiny Achievers and Prince Edward Schools went through the first training session.

They were taught about news values and story angling.

Mutoko-based Munashe Private School’s media members, and their Watershed counterparts, toured Zimpapers stable where they familiarised themselves with media operations.

Member clubs have the opportunity to tour Zimpapers newsrooms and studios where they interact with veterans within the industry and gain an appreciation of the media’s operations.

The veterans of the profession also conduct training sessions with member clubs to equip them with media skills.
