Zimpapers to raise product quality

The new machine will print UV (glossy) coated products, including fliers, inserts, magazines, books, newspapers and coloured classified advertisements.

“We faced a number of challenges in 2012, which include inefficiency and poor quality, but I am happy to announce that we are making frantic efforts to address this,” said Mr Bepe at a Zimpapers customer reception in Harare.

“I am happy to announce that Zimpapers is going to commission a new printing press end of March 2013.”

Zimpapers dominates the media landscape, publishing nine newspapers and a magazine.
The group also launched a radio station, Star FM, in June this year, covering Harare and Bulawayo and surrounding areas.

But before the end of the year, the group intends to widen its coverage to Mutare and Victoria Falls, Midlands, Masvingo and other areas. The station intends to cover 80 percent of Zimbabwe
Mr Bepe thanked Zimpapers customers for supporting the group’s publications.

“I am delighted to stand before you this evening with one goal — to thank you — for your support, for the belief and commitment that you have shown and continue to show in our company,” he said.
The year has been difficult, with some companies closing down and others failing to pay salaries.

“But you have kept us afloat with your continued support,” he told the customers. “We are always delighted by the sense of ownership, real pride and support that all of you take in our company and we will endeavour to give you value for money.”
