The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) has announced senior management appointments with effect from April 1, 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening its communications and information technology functions.

In a statement, the authority said it was pleased to confirm the new appointments.

“The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority is pleased to announce the following appointments with effect from 01 April 2026: Mr Luckmore Safuli as Public Relations Manager; Ms Pauline Matinhure as Information Communication Technology Manager,” read the statement.

Mr Luckmore Safuli is a seasoned communications specialist with extensive experience in wildlife conservation and media, having previously worked with several regional and national institutions, including the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA) Secretariat and the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC).

ZimParks said Mr Safuli holds an MBA in strategic management and leadership, a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Media Studies and a certificate in Project Management.

He has also been recognised through various industry awards for his work in journalism and communications.

“Under his guidance, ZimParks looks forward to enhancing its engagement with the media, the public, and other stakeholders, ultimately fostering a greater sense of shared responsibility for protecting Zimbabwe’s wildlife heritage,” reads the statement.

On the ICT portfolio, ZimParks appointed Ms Pauline Matinhure, described as a highly experienced ICT professional with extensive exposure in the public sector, particularly in energy, electricity, and wildlife conservation institutions.

She holds a Master of Science in Engineering Project Management, a Master of Commerce in Information Systems Management and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Computer Science.

The authority said Ms Matinhure brings on broad expertise spanning information security, IT administration, network administration, data protection, systems integration, software project management and business analysis.

“In addition, she has obtained several professional certifications that further strengthen her expertise. The Authority looks forward to utilising her skills and experience to contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s growth and success,” reads the statement.

ZimParks said it was confident that the two appointments would strengthen institutional efficiency and improve stakeholder engagement as the authority continues its wildlife conservation mandate.
