Well-travelled interdenominational gospel group, ZimPraise, will be making its way to Victoria Falls for a performance in the resort town on Christmas Day. The concert which begins at 6PM will be held at Elephant Hills Resort with Mokoomba’s Trust Samende and Sabastian Magacha expected to share the stage with the group. On Friday, the group will take their act to Hwange where they will perform at Don Bosco College. Advance tickets have been pegged at $10 with children expected to pay $5.

Fans, whom ZimPraise publicity officer Tendai Zhou said they prefer to refer to as friends, will have an opportunity to sample songs from the group’s latest offering Revelation which has tracks, Weminana and Ariko, Munyaradzi and also watch all time hits such as Sungano being performed live at both shows.

Show organiser, Pinias Sibanda said the Sungano hit-makers would celebrate Christmas with worshippers by ministering to them.

“This is the first time ZimPraise will be performing in Victoria Falls and from the look of things the show will be well received.

“Victoria Falls usually hosts non gospel shows during this period so we will use this opportunity to minister to the people there as we usher them into the new year,” Sibanda said.

He added that they were considering hosting similar concerts in the resort town annually.

The gospel outfit which has been dubbed by many as the Zimbabwean version of South Africa’s Joyous Celebration has been growing in leaps and bounds with their recent annual recording concert attracting 13,000 fans.
