ZimPraise, who are basking in the glory of their successful tour of the United Kingdom and Dubai, say they have set sights on more international shows beginning early next year with the hope of penetrating new markets.
The talented group performed sold-out concerts during their “Sungano/Covenant Tour” at the Dunstable Conference Centre in Luton and Birmingham where they left the audiences begging for more.
Joseph Madziyire, the chief executive of the choir,, said they were committed to spreading the word of God through music.
“We want to fulfil our mission as ZimPraise of raising true worship leaders of Godly character in Zimbabwe and beyond.
“So as we audition for new members we are looking for vocalists who will take the group to the next level. Remember whatever we do it’s all for the good of Jesus not individuals,” Madziyire said.
He said prospects of expanding the ZimPraise Academy looked bright and they were already auditioning for vocalists.
“It is important for us to help train those musicians and worshippers from just being amazing vocalists, instrumentalists or artistes. As the choir grows it has become apparent that we constantly adapt to new changes and rejuvenate the group by bringing in more talents.
“There’s also the spiritual aspect which every worship leader must carry. For this reason, the ZimPraise organisation will be giving up to 80 scholarships through our academy and institute. And the academy will run workshops for six months which will culminate into a festival.
“The new members will be trained to become masters in what they do, not only artistically but also spiritually. From the 80 new members we would audition the best singers and performers who will tour for the second leg next year,” he said.
Madziyire said plans were afoot to include the new members for the live recording of their upcoming DVD next year.
“For anyone to qualify they need to be great vocalists, dancers, instrumentalists. They should also have team spirit, good character and attitude. The auditions which will be conducted by an independent panel of judges will ensure there is transparency and accountability.”
