Zimsec ‘O’ level exams start smoothly

THE Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has said the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) Ordinary

Level examinations started smoothly on Monday across the country.

The examinations commenced with learners writing English Paper 2.

In a statement, the director for communications and advocacy in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Mr

Taungana Ndoro said they have not encountered any problems so far.

“Zimsec examinations for ‘O’ Level have started smoothly. At Nyava High School in Bindura District, candidates were observed

as they sat for their ‘O’ Level English Paper 2 on Monday morning,” he said.

“The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is confident that the exams will be flawless and the results will surpass

previous pass rates by a mile due to a cocktail of strategies that have been put in place to enhance the provision of quality

education.”
