Speaking ahead of the team’s departure, Zimta secretary-general, Richard Gunda, said they were ready.

“The inclusion of every sporting discipline in this year’s event will see the country sending in members for outdoor and indoor sports.

“The games are good in that they give some participants, especially young teachers, time to refresh while on holiday and it is part of our cultural exchange programmes,” Gunda said.
