“We are very happy with the turnout. We have mixed the kids and we gave them a chance to change their positions during the match so that they can experience some good cricket.
“We have 12 teams playing who we have named as nations specifically the countries that play cricket.
“The Colts team include those that are in Grade Four and Five who play in the morning and the Grade Sixes and Sevens, who we refer to us seniors, play in the afternoon.
“We award the players with those who take three wickets or those who make over 25 runs for the Colts and 50 overs for the seniors getting certificates. The parents and the players are happy with the game and we are glad,” said Ives.
The 12 countries which the players teams have been named after include Australia, Holland, India, Namibia, Canada, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, England and Zimbabwe.
Teams from Mabvuku, Glen View, Glen Norah, Highfield, Bindura, Shamva and Chitungwiza have also been given a chance to take part in this event for free.
