ZIMTRADE, Zimbabwe’s national trade development and promotion body, is in Indonesia participating in the Indonesian-Africa Forum.
The organisation aims to showcase local products and enhance export opportunities into Indonesia, a market that has seen a 15 percent increase in imports from Africa since 2018.

In a tweet from ZimTrade’s official X handle, the organisation highlighted its focus on promoting Zimbabwean products with export potential, including essential oils and horticulture items. This initiative aligns with Zimbabwe’s broader strategy to expand its trade footprint, especially as exports surged to US$1.72 billion in the first quarter of the year—a 25 percent increase compared to the previous year.

ZimTrade continues to seek new markets for local products, recently facilitating the participation of local companies in the Maputo International Trade Fair under its banner.
The engagement at the Indonesian-Africa Forum represents a significant step in strengthening trade ties between Zimbabwe and Indonesia.
