THE national trade development and promotion body, ZimTrade, has commenced its three-day Next She Exporter training in Masvingo, where women entrepreneurs are being equipped with key skills and information to help them penetrate export markets.
Launched in 2021, the Next She Exporter programme is a ground-breaking initiative aimed at preparing women entrepreneurs for export readiness. It provides comprehensive technical and financial support from both local and international experts to enhance women-owned businesses in exports.
Since its inception, the programme has benefited over 300 women entrepreneurs across the country and has facilitated access to regional and international markets by connecting participants with potential buyers and trade networks.
“Empowering women-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Masvingo. We’re hosting our 4th Next She training from 24–26 February, equipping entrepreneurs with skills to scale up their businesses and tap into export markets,” read a tweet from ZimTrade’s X handle.
“Key focus: Financial Literacy and AI-driven business growth strategies.”
Meanwhile, ZimTrade is inviting participants to the Malawi Outward Seller Mission, scheduled for 13–15 May 2025.
The mission will focus on various sectors, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs), building and construction, agricultural inputs and implements, household and office furniture, packaging, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
“Don’t miss out on this chance to connect with leading buyers in Malawi,” said ZimTrade.
With such initiatives, ZimTrade continues to champion women’s economic empowerment, providing them with opportunities to thrive in global markets.
