THE proposed theme for the 65th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) next year has been set as “Industrialisation: Crafting an Integrated Economic Landscape.”
The premier trade showcase, 2025 ZITF will be held from 22 to 26 April 2025 in Bulawayo.
On Tuesday, Cabinet considered and approved the proposed theme for the 65th edition of the ZITF as presented by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu.
In his post-Cabinet briefing yesterday Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Dr Jenfan Muswere said the exhibition will spotlight strategies essential to accelerate economic development and will catalyse the embracing of trade opportunities as provided for by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
“The 2025 ZITF will be private sector led and the investment and export development programmes will play a central role. Given the national vision of developing the economy to ensure the achievement of an Upper Middle-Income Economy by 2030, Cabinet approved “Industrialisation: Crafting an Integrated Economic Landscape” as the theme for the event,” he said.
He said the theme emphasises the importance of establishing a strong and competitive industrial base in Zimbabwe to drive economic growth, create jobs, and enhance the country’s global competitiveness.
The exhibition is organised by the ZITF Company founded in 1986, as a non-profit, limited liability private company. It has emerged as the foremost international exhibition organiser in Zimbabwe and beyond.
Previously the ZITF Company was solely responsible for organising the annual trade showcase, dating back to May 1960 when the first Central Africa Trade Fair was opened by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen mother.
It serves as a dynamic platform for unveiling industry trends, pioneering ideas, and innovative products through its diverse exhibitions and events.
The company brings together a diverse audience to promote trade and investment in the country and beyond.
The premier trade showcase has over the years served as a platform that has boosted the economy of Bulawayo not only in the space occupied but also by the sustainable benefits to the business sector.
