FORMER Premiership footballer, Nathan Ziwini, was in the dock yesterday after being implicated in a fatal fight over a chair at the weekend.

Ziwini appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi, who remanded him in custody to July 25, pending indictment in the High Court.

The court heard that an argument ensued between Ziwini and the now deceased, Manasa Magwarimbo, over a chair at Sun City Bar in Dzivaresekwa on Saturday.

During the argument, Ziwini allegedly pushed Magwarimbo who fell headlong on the doorstep.

He continued assaulting him, kicking him on the head and all over the body.

Magwarimbo later passed away at Parirenyatwa Hospital.

CCTV footage showing Ziwini assaulting Magwarimbo is being used as an exhibit.
